Subject: Pennant CSDs and Demo Software on Canada PS BBS
The latest PSF/2 and AFP/Workbench Corrective Service Diskettes are
available on the Personal Systems Bulletin Board System. I plan on using
the BBS for all future CSDs and public domain software available from
Pennant here for customers to dial into and download when required. This
means they don't have to call IBM to have them ordered, thus saving
time for them and us, but they still can use that option if desired.
The PS BBS is a 'No-charge' support offering (long distance telephone
charges apply outside the local calling areas).
The PS BBS can be accessed using one of the many communications
programs available from Personal Systems software retailers. Ensure that
the software is set to: NO PARITY BITS / 8 DATA BITS / 1 STOP BIT
The following phone numbers access IBM Canada's PS BBS:
Montreal (514) 938-3022
Markham (905) 316-4255
Toronto (416) 492-1823
Vancouver (604) 664-6466
The PS BBS is self registering and provides the necessary help info.
The following packages are available:
PSF2CSD: The PSF/2 CSDs they have file names of PSF2CSDx.EXE where x is
the sequence number. You just download them and create the diskette
by entering 'PSF2CSDx driveletter:' There is also a PSF2CSD.ZIP file
that contains installation documentation such as PSP buckets, flashes,
readme and apar listings that you should review first before installing.
AFPWBCSD: The AFP/WB CSDs have file names of AFPWBCSx.EXE where x
is the sequence number. You just download them and create the diskette
by entering 'AFPWBCSx driveletter:' There is also a AFPWBCS.ZIP file

of AFPWBDEM.EXE. You just download it and create the diskette

PENNAFP: Windows Driver is filename PENNAFP.ZIP and after downloading
you need to PKUNZIP it. Note that this driver is "AS IS" with no service
support available. A supported version is available with the PSF/2 and
AFP/Workbench CSDs for customers with an appropriate license.
