PACKAGE CONTENTS:
com.sys - Serial device driver with fixes (See FIX SUMMARY)
com.sym - symbol files for kernel debugging (not needed by most, you'll
know it if you do.)

FIX SUMMARY:
This package provides an update to the serial device driver, com.sys.
Please read through the following fixes to determine if you should
update your file.
APAR Defect Problem Description
PJ08728 069287 IF PROTECTMODEONLY=YES, Com DD will trap at first interrupt
PJ09294 071491 COM.SYS not behaving correctly when RTS=TOG
PJ10148 073472 PC3270 broken does not run under 2.1 did in 2.0
PJ10200 073679 PCMCIA Modems based on Rockwell chipset don't work
PJ09514 072032 MODE against IBM PCMCIA fax modem returning BUFFER=N/A.

INSTALLATION:
This fix should be installed only if you are expreriencing the above
problems. To install this driver,
1) Change directory to \os2 on your installation drive.
2) Copy com.sys to com.bak (or any other name).
3) Copy this com.sys into the \os2 directory.
WARNING -- ONLY if you have a PCMCIA system ---------------
4) Make sure PCMCIA.SYS is BEFORE the COM.SYS line in your CONFIG.SYS

5) Shutdown the desktop.
6) Reboot your system.
