  6.   We have added a new bulletin (BLT4) that has info about support for
  7. OS/2 version 1.3 and the PS180-16FN controller. Also there is a file in
  8. DIR1 that can be downloaded that explains how to perform a patch to
  9. allow OS/2 version 1.3 to install correctly with the PS180-16FN
  10. controller. This file is called OS2_13.ZIP. The patch has been tested by
  11. an IBM Engineer and Perstor's Engineers.  All of the tests have passed
  12. and OS/2 version 1.3 is now compatible.

  21. TEMPORARY FIX FOR PROBLEM WITH PERSTOR PS180-16FN & OS/2 1.3

  23.    * IF you have another working OS/2 system available:
  24.  1.) Create and switch to a scratch directory on the working
  25.      machine:
  26.  2.) Copy DISK01.SYS from the 1.3 Install Diskette to the
  27.      scratch directory.
  28.  3.) Create the PERSTOR.PCH file containing
  29.          (For OS/2 1.3 SE systems:)
  30.           File DISK01.SYS
  31.           VER 87D FFFF00000002
  32.           CHA 87D FFFF00000000

  34.          (For OS/2 1.3 EE systems:)
  35.           File DISK01.SYS
  36.           VER 880 FFFF00000002
  37.           CHA 880 FFFF00000000
  38.  4.) Enter the command:
  39.      PATCH PERSTOR.PCH /A
  40.  5.) Rename DISK01.SYS on the Install Diskette to DISK01.SY0
  41.  6.) Copy DISK01.SYS from the scratch directory to the
  42.      Install Diskette.

  44.    * IF you DON'T have a working OS/2 system available:
  45.  1.) Boot DOS
  46.  2.) Create and switch to a scratch directory
  47.  3.) Copy the following files to the scratch directory:
  48.      OSO001.MSG  (From OS/2 1.3 Install Diskette)
  49.      DISK01.SYS  (From OS/2 1.3 Install Diskette)
  50.      UNPACK.EXE  (From OS/2 1.3 Diskette 1)
  51.      PATCH.SY@   (From OS/2 1.3 Diskette 6)
  52.      PERSTOR.PCH (See Above)
  53.  4.) Enter the following commands:
  54.      UNPACK PATCH.SY@
  55.      PATCH PERSTOR.PCH /A
  56.  5.) Rename and replace DISK01.SYS on the Install Diskette
