  9. where <ctrl>q or "C-q" or "^q" is <CONTROL> and "Q" ,  and   NNN = OCTAL code

  11. BETTER: With 'iso-insert' [now in our default],
  12. ------- type ([ C-x 8 " a ]) to get Σ   --> C-x 8 C-h  gives bindings
  13. NUCH BETTER: with  "/u/sfs/emacs/international.el":
