  19. 1)  Insert the System Information Tool Corrective Service diskette into
  20. diskette drive A.

  86. IV.  Known Problems and Limitations

  89. 1) Although a fix has been made to the processor detection logic, it may or
  90.    may not provide a change to your particular situation.  In reporting these
  91.    problems, it would be helpful if you provided the following to the support
  92.    teams:
  93.         a.  Processor type it should be
  94.         b.  Machine type / model
  95.         c.  What BIOS level and BIOS type is on your machine?
  96.  
  97. Corrective Service Version 1.0
  98. 1)  System Information Tool reports some 486 processors as 386 processors.  We
  99. are working on a fix for this at present, and this fix will be made available
  100. in a patch in the near future.
  101.  
  102. 2)  Due to problems with the device driver for Sound Blaster-attached
  103. CD-ROM drives (SBCD2.ADD) that shipped with Warp, System Information Tool would
  104. sometimes crash the system when it was gathering the CD-ROM drive information
  105. on systems that used this driver.  The new System Information Tool executable
  106. will check whether the SBCD2.ADD is in use, and whether the version of
  107. SBCD2.ADD is the version that shipped with Warp.  If it is, then System
  108. Information Tool will not make the unsupported calls that cause the system
  109. to crash.  As a result, however, CD-ROM information will be rather limited.

  111. NOTE:  An updated SBCD2.ADD driver that fixes this problem is available
  112. via FTP from ftp-os2.cdrom.com.  The file (CDDRVR.ZIP) is found in the
  113. os2/warp/patches directory, and it contains a variety of new CD-ROM drivers
  114. for use with OS/2 2.1 and OS/2 Warp.  If you are using the _new_ SBCD2.ADD,
  115. System Information Tool will be able to gather considerably more information
  116. about your CD-ROM drive.
