  5.           5.25" CD-ROM INSTALLATION FOR WARP

  8. Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures

  11. NOTE: You need two 5.25" diskettes for this procedure.
  12. Label one OS/2 WARP 525 CD DISK 0 and the other OS/2 WARP 525 CD
  13. DISK 1.
  14.  
  15. NOTE: If using Advanced Install, do NOT choose to format HPFS.
  16.  
  17. 1.  Start the system from DOS.
  18.  
  19. 2.  Insert the 525 CD DISK 1 into Drive A:. From the C:\> prompt,
  20.     type:
  21.             FORMAT A: /U and press Enter
  22.  
  23. 3.  When prompted for the volume label, type:
  24.             DISK 1 and press Enter.
  25.  
  26. 4.  From the C:\> prompt, type pressing Enter after each:
  27.         MD CDINST
  28.         CD CDINST
  29.         MD DISK0
  30.         MD DISK1
  31.         CD DISK1
  32.  
  33. 5.  Insert the 3.5" WARP DISK 1 in Drive B.  Type the following,
  34.     pressing Enter after each:
  35.         COPY B:\*.*
  36.         DEL IBM2*.*
  37.         DEL *02.SYS
  38.         DEL TEDIT.*
  39.         DEL PRINT01.SYS
  40.         DEL HPFS.IFS
  41.  
  42. 6.  Insert the 3.5" WARP Install diskette in drive B: and type:
  43.       COPY B:\LMS205.ADD and press Enter.
  44.  
  45. 7.  Using an editor, edit C:\CDINST\DISK1\CONFIG.SYS
  46.     Put REM before the each of following lines:
  47.         IFS=HPFS.IFS /C:64
  48.         BASEDEV=PRINT01.SYS
  49.         BASEDEV=IBM2FLPY.ADD
  50.         BASEDEV=IBM2ADSK.ADD
  51.         BASEDEV=IBM2SCSI.ADD
  52.  
  53. 8.  Below the line BASEDEV=LMS206.ADD, add the line:
  54.         BASEDEV=LMS205.ADD
  55.  
  56. 9.  Save the file and exit the editor.
  57.  
  58. 10. Copy the entire directory to the 525 CD DISK 1 in the A:
  59.     drive.
  60.         COPY *.* A:\ and press Enter.
  61.  
  62. 11. Insert the 525 CD DISK 0 in Drive A: and from the C:\>
  63.     prompt, type:
  64.         FORMAT A: /U and press Enter.
  65.  
  66. 12. When prompted for the volume label, type:
  67.         DISK 0 and press Enter.
  68.  
  69. 13. Type the following, pressing Enter after each.
  70.         CD..
  71.         CD DISK0
  72.         COPY B:\*.*
  73.         DEL BUNDLE
  74.  
  75. 14. Type:
  76.         DEBUG and press Enter.
  77.  
  78. 15. From the - prompt, type the following, pressing Enter after
  79.     each:
  80.  
  81.         L DS:0 1 0 1
  82.         E 13 60
  83.         E 14 09
  84.         E 15 F9
  85.         E 16 07
  86.         E 18 0F
  87.         W DS:0 0 0 1
  88.         Q
  89.  
  90.         COPY *.* A:\
  91.  
  92. 16. Remove the WARP Installation diskette from drive B: and
  93.     restart the system to begin the install.
  94.  
  95. 17. Insert OS/2 WARP 525 CD DISK 1 when prompted to insert DISK
  96.     1 and follow the prompts.
  97.  
  98. Select Easy or Advanced Installation.
