  6. Syntegration Introduces TRAVELING WORKPLACE

  9. CHINO, CALIFORNIA, Nov.  13, 1995 -- SYNTEGRATION announces the release of its
  10. newest product, TRAVELING WORKPLACE.  This useful tool can backup, restore,
  11. create and manage OS/2 workplace images. These images can be saved on a
  12. floppy drive, local hard drive or network file server.

  14. TRAVELING WORKPLACE automatically saves the files that define the settings and
  15. icons on an OS/2 desktop. Additional files can be selected and saved with the
  16. workplace image. These additional files will then be recovered when an archive
  17. set is restored.

  19. What sets TRAVELING WORKPLACE apart from similar products are the features that
  20. allow users to backup a desktop on one workstation and restore it on another.
  21. With this capability, users can move from one workstation to another and still
  22. use their own desktop.  Users will find that TRAVELING WORKPLACE is very fast,
  23. backing up in about 15 seconds and restoring workplaces in only 25 seconds.

  31. desktops.  Users can then switch between these desktops instead of restoring a
  32. workplace.  The switching mechanizm is much faster than restoring a workplace

  34. End users can share their workstation with their children and others without
  35. giving them access to sensitive applications.  For instance, a games-only
  36. workplace can be configured.  Network administrators can provide different
  37. workplaces for each user or user group and manage them without taking a trip to
  38. the workstation.
