  12. (TUCSON, AZ -- Oct. 31, 1994) -- Artisoft, Inc. announced today that its LANtastic 
  13. for OS/2 network operating system is now available through the company's distribution 
  14. and reseller channels. This 32-bit networking system, announced earlier this month, 
  15. is the first true worldwide OS/2 peer-to-peer network operating system on the market 
  16. today. The LANtastic for OS/2 network also offers compatibility with version 3.0 of 
  17. IBM Corporation's OS/2 Warp operating system. This new system was unveiled by IBM 
  18. earlier this month.

  36. system machines into their existing DOS and Windows networks. It also offers OS/2 workgroup

  41. As a part of its ongoing commitment to educating its resellers, Artisoft recently launched 
  42. a 21-city product training tour. These seminars will provide Artisoft and Eagle Technology

  44. CorStream(TM) dedicated server. Attendees will also receive free LANtastic for OS/2 network 
  45. and CorStream server software valued at $888. These seminars will be offered in cities 
  46. throughout the U.S. until Nov. 10.

  49. LANtastic for OS/2 network users can connect to Artisoft's LANtastic network versions 5.0 
  50. and 6.0, the CorStream dedicated server, and the Simply LANtastic(TM) network. In addition, 
  51. users can connect to key servers on such networks as IBM's LAN Server and Microsoft's Windows 
  52. for Workgroups, Windows NT(TM), and LAN Manager systems. LANtastic for OS/2 network users 
  53. will also have the benefit of co-existing with Novell's NetWare Requester(TM) for OS/2 software 
  54. and LAN Server network client software on the same machine, allowing users to operate on 
  55. multiple networks simultaneously.
