  3. PMFAX FOR OS/2 ADDS MORE VOICE FEATURES
  4. SHIPS MULTIPLE MAILBOX VOICE/FAX SYSTEM

  6. White Bear Lake, Minnesota -- July 9, 1997 -- Keller Group, developer of the
  7. OS/2 fax software sold as FaxWorks for OS/2 and PMfax, is now shipping PMfax
  8. version 3.01 with enhanced voice features and a new multiple mailbox voice
  9. mail system. Many additional voice/fax modems are supported, new voice options
  10. are available for enhanced voice quality, and standalone PMfax users can now
  11. run an advanced multiple mailbox system for faxes and voice messages.

  13. In addition to supporting Brooktrout boards and voice/fax modems based on the
  14. popular Rockwell chipset, PMfax 3.01 includes settings for the U.S. Robotics
  15. Sportster Voice modems, ZyXEL OMNI modems, and modems based on the new Cirrus
  16. Logic MD3452 chipset with IS-101 voice. For optimal voice quality and
  17. performance, these modems can be used in a new "native voice format" mode and
  18. support for playing and recording the voice messages through the modem's
  19. speaker, microphone and handset jacks is provided.

  21. The new multiple mailbox script supports an unlimited number of user mailboxes
  22. for both voice mail and faxes. Each user can call the system and enter a
  23. personal password to remotely retrieve their voice messages and faxes, change
  24. their password, record their personal mailbox greeting, or retrieve items from
  25. the fax log using fax-on-demand. "The new script works with all supported
  26. voice/fax hardware," says Mark Ahlstrom, President of Keller Group, "and since
  27. it requires just the PMfax version 3.01 software, this is easily the most cost
  28. effective voice/fax system for the OS/2 platform and quite likely the most
  29. powerful such system on any computing platform." PMfax version 3 is a $69
  30. upgrade for users of FaxWorks Lite that comes free in the OS/2 BonusPak.

  32. PMfax version 3.01 is now shipping for electronic orders which are placed
  33. directly with Keller Group (http://www.kellergroup.com) or through Keller's
  34. electronic publishers such as BMT Micro (http://www.wilmington.net/bmtmicro)
  35. or the OS/2 SuperSite Rapid Internet Purchasing system
  36. (http://www.os2ss.com/rip). PMfax customers who have purchased PMfax version
  37. 3.00 directly from Keller Group can get a free upgrade from Keller Group.

  39. publishers can obtain the PMfax update through Keller's new Support Program or
  40. check with their publisher for availability.
