  1. Press Release: Swiss Reuters Kobra Workstation on OS/2

  5. In a Swiss first, the worlds first Effix Kobra workstation running                                                                  
  6. on the IBM OS/2 operating system went live in Coop Bank Basel on                                                                    
  7. Wednesday. This first Beta site has taken 5 Kobra licences on OS/2                                                                  
  8. to complement their existing live positions of Kobra running on Sun                                                                 
  9. Solaris.

  11. After carrying out the installation, the Zurich based IMS project                                                                   
  12. manager, Olaf Handmann, was pleased to show the bank Kobsheets                                                                      
  13. developed on the Kobra Solaris positions made available to the new                                                                  
  14. users of Kobra OS/2. The bank commented that this process was as                                                                    
  15. smooth as silk.

  17. Talking about the installation, Simon Drew, IMS and Risk Management                                                                 
  18. marketing Manager said, "Thanks are due to Olaf, Roland Maeder, our                                                                 
  19. IMS Sales Executive, and of course the Effix Kobra team who have done                                                               
  20. a great job coping with an unfamiliar operating system, allowing us                                                                 
  21. to offer for the first time a Reuters main line workstation on the
