  4. IBM PSP Worldwide Developer Assistance Program

  7. The IBM Personal Software Products Worldwide Developer Assistance
  8. Program is proud to announce a worldwide file repository on the
  9. Internet.
  10.  
  11. The Internet, with uncounted millions of users, is by far the
  12. world's largest connected network.  In an effort to better serve
  13. the development community the IBM Worldwide Developer Assistance
  14. Program is responding to the many requests for support through
  15. the Internet.  Tools, utilities, and information are now
  16. available on the "information super-highway" for all DAP members
  17. around the world.

  19. The DAP Internet site, called "The DAP Information Library",
  20. includes the following file bases:
  21.  
  22. DAPTOOLS LIBRARY Restricted Software - These tools, utilities,
  23. demos, and sample code are available only to members of IBM's
  24. Worldwide Developer Assistance Programs.  Popular tools include
  25. Phoenix2 (a FAT and HPFS unerase utility), DEBUGO (A terminal
  26. debug program), MRFILEPM (file manager), and many, many more
  27. exclusive tools.

  29. EWS - This is a shadow of the IBM Employee Written Software file
  30. collection.  This library contains many tools and utilities of
  31. general interest and some tools specifically for developers.
  32. Tools include MSHELL and TSHELL (installable shells for OS/2),
  33. TINYED (an OS/2 text editor), and many more.
  34.  
  35. DAPLIB - The DAPLIB will keep developers up-to-date with the
  36. latest announcements and useful information for DAP members.
  37. Until now these programs have been available only to DAP members
  38. with access to CompuServe and to Premier/Commercial DAP members.

  40. The DAP Information Library is a private repository, but access
  41. is easy to get!  It is open to all Worldwide DAP members.
  42.  
  43. REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS:
  44.  
  45. _ Users must be members of one of IBM's Worldwide Developer
  46.   Assistance Programs.
  47.  
  48. _ Users must use their own Internet service providers with true
  49.   TN3270 and FTP capabilities.
  50.  
  51. _ Users must agree to the terms and conditions of all license
  52.   agreements associated with both the libraries and the files
  53.   themselves.

  56. CURRENT WW DAP MEMBERS:
  57. Get the file WWDAP.TXT.  This is the WWDAP application form with
  58. a few lines added at the top to be filled out and returned.
  59. Existing members need to fill out the top portion only!  Once the
  60. file has been e-mailed back to IBM your member access to the DAP
  61. Information Library will be processed.

  63. NON-DAP MEMBERS:
  64. You must join the IBM Worldwide Developer Assistance program to
  65. get access to the DAP Information Library Internet site.  Fill
  66. out WWDAP.TXT completely.  Once your DAP ID Number has been
  67. assigned, we will begin the processing of your access to the DAP
  68. Information Library on the Internet.

  70. ENROLLMENT:
  71. The WWDAP.TXT file is located at most popular OS/2 Internet
  72. sites.  You may also ftp to the DAP Information Library Guest
  73. account.  The DAP Information Library is at DAP.SVO.COM
  74. (192.203.134.5).  There are 10 guest accounts (GUEST1, GUEST2,
  75. ...  GUEST10).  Log in with a password of DAP4ME.  These
  76. are limited access accounts and will give access to a few
  77. information files including WWDAP.TXT (Worldwide DAP membership
  78. application).
