  1. OS/2 EE 1.X to OS/2 Version 2.0 No-Charge Upgrade Promotion

  3. DESCRIPTION

  5. Customers who acquire any release of IBM Operating System/2
  6. (OS/2) Extended Edition Version 1.x before April 24, 1992, can
  7. receive at no charge:
  8. o  Upgrades to IBM OS/2 Version 2.0
  9. o  Upgrades to IBM Extended Services with Database Server
  10. o  "Proof of License for Distributed Feature" certificates for
  11.    Database Client Application Enablers
  12.  
  13. HIGHLIGHTS
  14.  
  15. Customers will receive:
  16. o  One complete IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 package containing diskettes
  17.    and documentation.
  18. o  One complete IBM OS/2 Extended Services with Database Server
  19.    for OS/2 package containing diskettes and documentation.
  20. o  One IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 "Proof of Additional License"
  21.    certificate and one IBM Extended Services with Database Server
  22.    for OS/2 "Proof of Additional License" certificate for the
  23.    balance of the quantity of IBM Extended OS/2 Extended Edition
  24.    Version 1.X being upgraded.
  25. o  "Proof of License for Distributed Feature" certificates for
  26.    Database Client Application Enablers.  Certificates received
  27.    will equal in number the copies of DOS Database Requester
  28.    Library (DBDRQLIB), up to a maximum of 128 per OS/2
  29.    Extended Edition Version 1.x license being upgraded.
  30. Customers can also receive one IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 User's Guide
  31. at no charge for each IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 "Proof of Additional
  32. License" certificate they receive.

  34. CRITERIA
  35.  
  36. Customers must acquire this upgrade on or after March 27, 1992,
  37. but no later than August 24, 1992.  Information on how to acquire
  38. the upgrade will be provided in the Availability Announcement
  39. Letter scheduled for March 27, 1992.
