This is an open enrollment class with seats available
for IBM employees as well as Customers.
DESCRIPTION: This course introduces the capabilities of Operating
System/2 Version 2.0 to new users. This course
teaches you how to use the Workplace shell graphical
user interface features -- object manipulation, drag
and drop, containers, data and device objects, object
management, online information, and application
installation. Hands-on labs give you experience in
running OS/2, DOS, and Windows application programs
and customizing your workplace.
OBJECTIVE: After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Understand the features and capabilities of OS/2
Version 2.0
- Use the Workplace Shell graphical user interface
- Run OS/2, DOS, and Windows applications
- Understand the benefits of multi-tasking and
memory management
- Install applications
