1992 APPC APPLICATION DEVELOPERS' CONFERENCE
IBM APPC Market Enablement and Technology Transfer Institute
(TTI) are co-sponsoring the 1992 APPC Application Developers'
Conference. This conference is designed to help programmers develop
the practical skills and up-to-date information required to write
"high-performance" applications using APPC.
DATES: December 7-10, 1992
PLACE: San Francisco
AUDIENCE: Application designers, programmers, and testers
PREREQUISITES: Participants should know how to program and
should understand basic communications concepts.
CONTENT:
PART 1 (2.5 days): Tutorial/Workshop
This tutorial will be conducted by experienced OS/2 programmers.
Most of the examples used in these sessions are based on OS/2.
Topics include:

o Introduction to APPC, APPN, and CPI-C
o Using APPC: Making the Best Design Decisions
o Features to Improve Performance
o Effective Error Handling and Reporting

o Testing Your APPC Application
PART 2 (1.5 days): Conference Presentations and Exhibits

o Using Development Tools: AAI**, Easel, Netwise, and EXPRESS/APPC
o APPC on Windows** and DOS
o Migrating Applications to APPC
o Customer Case Studies
o APPC and DRDA (Distributed Relational Database Architecture)
o APPC Directions and Trends
