Overview
The OS/2 (R) Warp course offers concise instruction on the most
important features of the OS/2 Warp operating system for beginning
through advanced users. When users complete the course, they will be
proficient with the OS/2 desktop, LaunchPad, file management,
personal information manager (PIM), word processor, and data filer.
The courseware in this announcement was produced by Gartner Group
Learning, an IBM Business Partner (TM) and IBM Cooperative Courseware
Development Program participant, and is available from IBM Education
and Training, as part of the IBM Cooperative Courseware Development
Program.
Intended Customers
Basic through advanced users interested in learning the most
important features of the OS/2 Warp operating system
Key Prerequisites
For courses ordered on VHS videotape, a VCR and appropriate monitor
For courses ordered on CD-ROM, a personal computer with:
o 80486 66MHz processor (if ordering the INDEO version, a Pentium
(R) processor is recommended, but not required)
o VGA graphics capability
o 8MB RAM
o 2X CD-ROM drive
o Speakers, headphones, or both
o Audio adapter
o MPEG decompression adapter (for MPEG version only)
o Windows (R) 3.1, or later

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Specified Operating Environment
Hardware Requirements: For courses ordered on videotape, a VCR and
appropriate monitor are required.
For courses ordered on CD-ROM, a PC with the following minimum
configuration is required:
o 80486 66MHz processor, or higher (if ordering the INDEO version, a
Pentium (R) is recommended, but not required)
o 8MB RAM, or more
o VGA graphics capability
o 2X CD-ROM drive
o Speakers, headphones, or both
o Audio adapter
o MPEG decompression adapter for MPEG multimedia (RealMagic from
Sigma Designs, or equivalent, is recommended)
Software Requirements: Each course diskette contains online
exercises. You must have the application software installed and
running in order to perform the exercises. Minimum software
requirements for each course are the same as those for the
application.
If you order a course on multimedia CD-ROM, the PC on which you run
the course must have Windows (R) 3.1, or later, installed.

Security, Auditability, and Control
The customer is responsible for evaluation, selection, and
implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and
appropriate controls in application systems and communication
facilities.
ORDERING INFORMATION
This is a vendor-supplied self-paced training course, and is
available in permanent license version only, and is priced based on
the number of installs.
This is a Cooperative Courseware Development Program vendor-supplied
product marketed under an agency relationship between IBM and the
vendor. IBM "Charge Units," pricing structures, and ordering
terminology do not apply to these products. WWERB pre-approval has
been granted (refer to WWERB Situation Number 9703004).
Orders will be accepted now and scheduled for shipment by the program
supplier.
Products are shipped using UPS normal delivery service. Specify
feature number 3446 for overnight delivery service. The program
supplier will add shipping charges to the invoice.
You can place orders by calling 800-IBM-TEACH (426-8322) or through
the local IBM office. To order a product, specify the program
number, quantity, feature number 9080 for asset registration, and the
one-time charge (OTC) feature number for the desired products.
