  90. OVERVIEW  DESCRIPTION
  91.                  The ServerGuide menus guide you through a series of
  92.           configuration choices.  You can key in a unique activation key
  93.           (purchased from your IBM authorized dealer or IBM representative) to
  94.           unlock the software and install it.
  95.                  During installation, ServerGuide automatically detects and
  96.           identifies specific hardware configurations and fills in all
  97.           configuration choices with sensible defaults.  You can simply accept
  98.           ServerGuide's suggestions or, if you want, change them to reflect
  99.           different requirements.  ServerGuide then automatically installs the
  100.           necessary device drivers.
  101.           NETFINITY
  102.           NetFinity provides an easy-to-use graphical set of local and remote
  103.           services that make the PC server and client systems simple and
  104.           affordable to manage.
  105.                  ServerGuide V2.4 includes NetFinity V3.05.
  106.                  NetFinity offers many impressive new features, such as OS/2 or
  107.           Windows+ Manager support, full database export, Predictive Failure
  108.           Analysis (TM) for disk drives, power-on error detection and analysis,

  197.                  ServerGuide uses the security and auditability features of the
  198.           systems on which it is installed.
  199.                  User management is responsible for evaluation, selection, and
  200.           implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and
  201.           appropriate controls in application systems and communication
  202.           facilities.
  203. ORDERING  ORDERING INFORMATION
  204.                  Orders for new licenses will be accepted on November 17, 1995.
  205.                  Shipments will begin on November 17, 1995.
  206.                  Refer to PCC95-086, dated March 10, 1995, for ordering
  207.           information instructions on the ServerGuide software activation keys.
  208.                  When an order for one of the products is processed, a fax
  209.           containing the activation key and product identification is sent by
  210.           IBM to the remarketer who placed the order.  The remarketer in turn
  211.           sends a copy of the fax to the customer.  Proof of Entitlement to use
  212.           one copy of the software product consists of a copy of the IBM fax
  213.           containing the activation key and a copy of the ServerGuide license
  214.           diskette label showing the diskette serial number.
  215.                  The customer should attach a copy of the IBM fax to the copy
  216.           of the diskette label and keep it as Proof of Entitlement.
  217.                  For IBM customers ordering through IBM representatives, the
  218.           same Proof of Entitlement applies.  In this case, the fax containing
  219.           the activation key will normally be transmitted directly from IBM to
  220.           the customer.
  221.           PROGRAM PACKAGE:  Program media with documentation
  222.                  ServerGuide cannot be ordered separately.  ServerGuide is
  223.           shipped with each new IBM PC server.  Software included in the
  224.           ServerGuide package and available for purchase is listed in the
  225.           CHARGES section.
  226.           ADDITIONAL LICENSE COPIES:  Authorizes the customer who has a program
  227.           package to make a single copy of the program media and printed
  228.           documentation.
  229.                  The authorization is given by providing the customer a Proof
  230.           of Entitlement for Additional License -- with Certificate with a
  231.           unique part number and feature number.

  259.           LICENSING:  The programs described in this announcement are licensed
  260.           under the terms and conditions of the IBM International Program
  261.           License Agreement.  A copy of the agreement is included in the
  262.           program package.
  263.           ADDITIONAL LICENSE:  Proof of Entitlement must be acquired.
  264.           LIMITED WARRANTY:  Programs acquired by the customer during the
  265.           program services period will have a one-year limited warranty.
  266.           PROGRAM SERVICES:  Program services for SCO products will be
  267.           available until November 17, 1996.  Program services for NetWare SMP
  268.           products are the same as previously announced for NetWare.  Program
  269.           services for all other programs in ServerGuide remain as previously
  270.           announced.  The statement of service included with each program
  271.           describes this service.
