----------------------------------------
The IBM PC Server Internet Series offers carefully crafted, secure,
and easy-to-install Internet servers with the potential for
considerable growth and expansion. The servers are suitable for
small- to medium-sized commercial Internet/World Wide Web
applications or workgroup-sized "intranet" applications within large
enterprises.
The PC Server Internet Series provides a new PC Server 320 and your
choice of the most popular combinations of Internet secure servers
and network operating systems:
o IBM Internet Connection Secure Server and OS/2(R) Warp Server
(8640-IS2)
o Netscape Commerce Server and Sunsoft Solaris (8640-SUN)
o Netscape Commerce Server and Microsoft Windows+ NT Server
(8640-NTN)
After an easy installation, you can quickly and efficiently create a
World Wide Web server as a base for customized solutions. You can
easily satisfy end-user licensing requirements for all the included
software without phone calls, letters, or encryption codes (except
for any additional software you might select from IBM's ServerGuide
offering). You benefit by getting an Internet application up and
running more quickly and at a lower cost.
Resellers or end users can quickly create a server that fully
supports key Internet and World Wide Web standards such as HTTP,
HTML, Java, and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). The Sunsoft solution can
be used to create a Domain Name Server (DNS). The OS/2--based
solution also supports S-HTTP (Secure Hypertext Transport Protocol),
can be configured as a cached Proxy Server, and provides Gateways for
HTML-standard Browsers to access DB2 and CICS data.
