  72. Well I have an ATI RAGE Fury and it worked fine with SDD ar 
  73. 800resolution, don't know about 1024 because my monitor don't support 
  74. it.  Again SDD drivers are excellent.

  76. We should see soon ATI drivers from IBM since ATI went Open osurce 
  77. with the drivers...

  138. It works with no problems with an ATI 3D Rage II C card

  140. On my system it won't cold boot with a Matrox G400
  141. but if the driver is installed and the system is never
  142. powered off the driver works fine.

  165. Works with my Millennium G-200, but I can't get refresh rates above 
  166. 85Hz with beta 11.  I can get 100+ with beta 9.  I tried editing the 
  167. file I was supposed to edit (forgot the name) to replace '85' with 
  168. '100' but I still can't get over 85 HZ.

  212. monitor list or describe the details for your monitor. System folder can only
  213. change screen resolution.

  240. installation on OS2 machines.

  242. I have been given a project to investigate how to install SVGA display
  243. drivers on a number of workstations connected together on a small LAN. There
  244. are approx. 7 totally different makes/models of PC connected to this LAN and
  245. therefore a similar number of device drivers. All these individual machines
  246. are to have their SVGA drivers installed via the LAN's fileserver - I am not
  247. allowed to use diskettes on each individual machine!!

  249. I have done some reading and it seems a good idea to try and do this via a
  250. CID type mechanism.
  251.  
  252. Further reading indicates to me that I can use the DSPINSTL.EXE to do the
  253. processing.
  254.  
  255. My plan is this: When each machine boots up I will get it to identify itself
  256. to the fileserver such that the fileserver 'knows' the make and model of the
  257. machine. The fileserver will then download the SVGA drivers appropriate to
  258. that machine. I am fairly confident I can do this bit.

  260. I am building a *.DSC and a *.DSP file - as used by DSPINSTL.EXE for each of
  261. the various machine types. I think I am OK with building the *.DSC's but
  262. could use some help with my *.DSP's. I have looked at DSP's relating to
  263. other drivers but this has only raised more questions!

  297. therefore need a method of doing this. I have been using VCFGCID.CMD
  298. (OS2\INSTALL). This works on all but one of my machines but on one I get an
  299. error message: "ERROR: 1 error getting current desktop mode". This is really
  300. annoying me- if you can explain an alternative method or suggest what is
  301. going wrong I'll be very greatful.
  302. Can I force the refresh rate to this value in my *.DSP files somehow?? (All
  303. the machines will support this resolution by the way).

  338. card, but beta 10 of the SciTech drivers kept giving me a totally black
  339. screen from which I could not recover, and I could not get the system to
  340. boot after installing beta 11.

  404. Well we have a bunch of Trident 9440 boards, so it won't be much use. As 
  405. far as support goes, the next beta of SDD should include full 
  406. acceleration support on the Trident 9440 chipsets (hopefully all Tridents 
  407. will make it in, right up to the latest Blade3D; alas Laptop chipsets are 
  408. still not supported though).

  448. just stumbled over your append. I'm using an ATI-Xpert card (AGP, Rage
  449. Pro 3D) for two years under WARP 4.0.
  450. Enclosed  by the card was an ATI-CD with drivers. There also were 
  451. OS2-drivers
  452. a little bit hidden in the \UTILITY directory (when I remeber 
  453. correctly).
  454. These drivers are working fine up to high res.  Using them at 1280... 
  455.

  457. If you don't find the drivers on the ATI-support site you could give 
  458. them
  459. a call. ATI is sending you the driver CD-rom, when you ask for it.

  537. Just got this card, downloaded the drivers found out they were Gradd.
  538. Ok, thought I would give them a go. They loaded ok machine came up, I selected
  539. 1600 1200 resolution and rebooted.
  540. Came up ok but only at 60Hz. Very hard to put up with the flicker.
  541. Looking at page 2 of the SYSTEM folder and it says that the driver will
  542. support 85Hz.
