  19. Subject: Error Message: "Not Enough Disk Space To Install"
  20.  
  21. Situation:
  22. ==========
  23. While installing WinFax PRO 3.0 you receive the message "Not enough disk
  24. space to install."
  25.  
  26. By default, the WinFax setup program creates a temporary WINFAX.T 
  27. directory on your C: drive that it uses during the installation of the 
  28. program. If there is not at least 600 kilobytes of free disk space on 
  29. your C: drive, the setup program cannot continue.
  30.  
  31. Solution:
  32. =========
  33. Create at least 600K of free hard disk space on your C: drive by deleting 
  34. unecessary files and applications.
  35.  
  36. If you cannot create enough free disk space on your C: drive, perform the 
  37. following procedure to modify the WinFax setup program so you can install 
  38. to another drive on your computer.
  39.  
  40. 1.  Make a copy of WinFax Disk 1 from your WinFax PRO 3.0 package. Keep 
  41.     the original WinFax disk as a backup.
  42.  
  43. 2.  Using Windows Notepad, or another basic text editor, open the 
  44.     SETUP.LST file on your new copy of WinFax Disk 1.
  45.  
  46. 3.  In the [Params] section of the SETUP.LST file, edit the 
  47.     TmpDirName=WINFAX.T line to specify a different drive for the 
  48.     temporary installation directory.
  49.  
  50.     For example, edit the line to read ...
  51.  
  52.       TmpDirName=D:\WINFAX.T
  53.  
  54.     ... to move the temporary installation directory to the D: drive of 
  55.     your computer. Substitute any available drive letter for "D" in the
  56.     above example.
  57.  
  58. 4.  Save the new SETUP.LST file, and exit the text editor.
  59.  
  60. 5.  Re-install WinFax using the your modified copy of WinFax Disk 1.
  61.  
  62.
