  19. Subject: Word Perfect 5.2 for Windows: GPF When Printing to WinFax

  21. Situation:
  22. ==========
  23. When printing to WinFax from WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows, a General 
  24. Protection Fault (GPF) occurs. 
  25.  
  26. With WordPerfect 5.1 for Windows, it was necessary to make the WINFAX.WRS 
  27. printer driver read-only for use with WinFax. This read-only file causes 
  28. a GPF when trying to print to WinFax from WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows.

  30. Solution:
  31. =========
  32. To correct this problem, delete the WINFAX.WRS printer driver.
  33.  
  34. 1.  Exit WordPerfect, and change to the DOS command line where the .WRS 
  35.     files (WordPerfect for Windows printer drivers) are stored. This is 
  36.     normally the \WPWIN or \WPC directory.
  37.  
  38. 2.  Type the following command ...
  39.  
  40.       DEL WINFAX.WRS
  41.  
  42.     ... and press ENTER.
  43.  
  44.     The next time you print to WinFax from WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows, 
  45.     WINFAX.WRS will be recreated properly.
  46.  
  47. 3.  Call the WordPerfect Printer Support Line at 1-800-228-1017, and 
  48.     mention that you have encountered a "hot list" item.
