  19. Subject: Ventura for Windows--WinFax Not in Printers List
  20.  
  21. Situation:
  22. ==========
  23. WinFax does not appear in the Printer Setup list in Ventura for
  24. Windows.
  25.  
  26. Solution:
  27. =========
  28. Ventura for Windows only reads the first six printer drivers installed
  29. in Control Panel. Verify in the Windows Control Panel, Printers
  30. section, that WinFax is within the first six printer drivers (it makes
  31. no difference if the printers are Active or Inactive).
  32.  
  33. If WinFax is not within the first six, delete earlier printer drivers
  34. in the list. In Windows 3.0, enter the Configure menu, highlight the
  35. driver, and select Remove. In Windows 3.1, the Remove button is in the
  36. main Printers dialog.

  38. At this point, you have modified the WIN.INI file to reflect the fact
  39. that the driver is not current, but you have not removed it from the
  40. hard drive.
  41.  
  42. If you want to add the removed printer to the bottom of the Printers
  43. list, first open the Control Panel, Printers section. Then, in Windows
  44. 3.0, click on Install, and in Windows 3.1, click on Add. Add the
  45. removed printer accordingly.
