Using HP ScanJet IIp under under IBM OS/2 Warp
I have succsfully installed the HP ScanJet IIp under Warp
My system is setup with;
HP ScanJet IIp
OS/2 Warp
IBM DOS 5.02
Windows for Workgroups 3.11
DeskScan V2.1a
ASPIDR.ZIP Contains ASPI Driver for HP C2502/3A Host Adapter
HP C2502/3A interface card.
20 Megs RAM
New Installations ( Never attempted DeskScan install before )
1. First you need to make sure that Warp and Windows are installed correctly. Make sure that
you are able to print under DOS/Windows as well as Warp/Windows.
2. Boot Warp, start Windows and install DeskScan V2.1a, during the install you will be prompted
to updateCONFIG.SYS, SYSTEM.INI and AUTOEXEC.BAT. DO NOT allow the install to update
CONFIG.SYS or SYSTEM.INI.
3. Unzip ASPIDR.ZIP in the directory you installed DeskScan in.
4. Go to Windows setting and under DOS_DEVICE add C2502-3A.SYS and SJIIX.SYS. Refer to the
OS/2 documentation if you are unfamiliar with this operation.
5. If you boot DOS/Windows and want to run DeskScan, the MINI400 driver work just fine under
DOS/Windows. Boot DOS and install as usual. DO NOT allow setup to update SYSTEM.INI.
Fixing Installation ( Tried to get MINI400 to work )
