This zip file contains 6 versions of the Answers for the 21 Questions
from Canopus Forum. It is based on notes taken at an OS/2 User group
meeting in September '95. There are no direct quotes, and it does not
represent or mean to represent an official statement of direction from IBM.
This file may not be posted to any on-line service, BBS, FTP site, Internet
News Group, without the permission of the author. It may not be used or quoted
by any publication that is distributed for money. It may not be posted as a
message or UUE file within a message on any on-line service or Internet group or
site. It is intended to be available from the Canopus Forum (GO CANOPUS) on CIS, and the
OS2 Users Forum (GO OS2USER) on CIS.
For the reader's information, the answers contained in this document are not
quotes from Jeff Fisher or any other IBM representative. They are
reconstructions and paraphrases based on my notes of a presentation that
Jeff gave before a user group; the Northern New Jersey OS/2 Users Group and
additional feedback. I will not be held responsible [and I am sure that IBM
will not either] for someone basing a business decision on my notes, when I
am doing it for karma only. IBM is committed to bringing only products that
are fully tested to market, and as a result can not be held to any estimated
time table or interpretation of a time table. Contents of bundles mentioned
herein, features of operating systems, microkernels, hardware platforms,
etc., are all subject to change or being entirely dropped. That is IBM's
prerogative.- Stan Sidlov (ssidlov@ibm.net)
