  1. IBM LAN Server FixPak's List

  5. * THIS IS ONLY A LIST OF THE FixPaks THAT ARE AVAILABLE for LS 4.0.    *
  6. * LS 3.0, MPTS, and NTS/2.  Some ServicePak information is included.   *
  7. *                                                                      *
  8. * In the future all service for the products listed above will be      *
  9. * changed to conform to PSP Products naming conventions.  All Future   *
  10. * service will be referred to as FixPaks.  There will be two types     *
  11. * of FixPaks, Public and Controlled;                                   *
  12. *                                                                      *
  13. *   o Public FixPaks - All service formerly known as ServicePaks       *
  14. *     will be known as Public FixPaks.  All FixPaks that have          *
  15. *     completed the moderate FixPak testing required before they       *
  16. *     can be placed for general availability will also be known        *
  17. *     as Public FixPaks.  Any FixPak that is generally available       *
  18. *     to the public in electronic, or diskette media is a Public       *
  19. *     FixPak.                                                          *
  20. *                                                                      *
  21. *   o Controlled FixPaks - This is the formal name for FixPaks         *
  22. *     that are available in fixtest status.  They are updated          *
  23. *     and maintained by the LAN Server L2.5.  Controlled FixPaks       *
  24. *     are then placed on a Server accessible to L2 service team        *
  25. *     members.  If it is determined that a licensed customer needs     *
  26. *     a fix, or an APAR that is included in a Controlled FixPak,       *
  27. *     then the Controlled FixPak(s) will be sent to the customer.      *
  28. *     The problem will then be monitored in a PMR until the problem    *
  29. *     has been resolved.  Once a Controlled FixPak successfully        *
  30. *     completes the FixPak test requirements it will become a          *
  31. *     Public FixPak.                                                   *
  32. *                                                                      *
  33. *   o U.S. FixPaks will have a PTF created in Retain.  This will       *
  34. *     provide an easy tracking method for service.  APARS that are     *
  35. *     included, and PTFs that were superseded, plus any information    *
  36. *     relevant to the FixPak will be included in the PTF.              *
  37. *                                                                      *
  38. * NOTE:  All ServicePaks listed below are available in diskette media  *
  39. * as well as electronic media.  Public FixPaks that are generally      *
  40. * available will have a note below it with the electronic location,    *
  41. * and the naming convention used when it was originally sent to the    *
  42. * distribution points.  Please contact your BBS or disk owner if you   *
  43. * have difficulty locating a Public FixPak.                            *
  44. *                                                                      *

  46. * or LS 4.0, MPTS, or NTS/2, or WARP Connect component areas contact   *

  51. * Some of the FixPak's will have duplicate APAR's that have hit two    *
  52. * or more modules, thus are included in each FixPak affected;          *

  54. * There will also be FixPaks with duplicate names since there will be  *
  55. * some Controlled FixPaks that will be a delta above Public FixPaks,   *
  56. * but have not completed required testing                              *

  62. *   IP08222 - This ServicePak supersedes IP08152.  This provides       *
  63. *             service for the LAN Server 4.0 Advanced Server (HPFS),   *
  64. *             Entry Server, Requester, UPM, Fault Tolerance, and RIPL  *
  65. *             components.  This ServicePak also provides a separately  *
  66. *             installable service packages for Dos LAN Services, and   *
  67. *             LAN Support Program LSP V1.38.                           *

  69. *   Supersedes IP08152, IP08166, IP08167, IP08169, IP08177,            *
