IB995.INF - IB Online September '95
Indelible Blue, Inc.
Hello, thanks for trying out the .INF version of Indelible Blue's
OS/2 Applications Catalog. This catalog complements the World
Wide Web version of the catalog located at
<http:www.indelible-blue.com/ib>. This .INF version of the catalog
will be updated on a monthly basis. The Web version will be updated
constantly and contain the newest copy of this .INF version. The
newest updates of this catalog may also be obtained from the Hobbes
site at hobbes.nmsu.edu. The file will be named IBXYY.ZIP (where
X=the month of the release and YY=the year... ie IB995.ZIP would be
the September '95 version that you are
looking at now.)
Please realize that these prices are always in a state of change and
that the prices in this catalog, as well as on the Web catalog, may
change at any moment. When in doubt, contact our sales staff at
1-800-776-8284 or via e-mail (the most current e-mail directory is
located on our Web site in the Meet IB section). Other ordering info
is contained within this catalog.
The proper way to run this catalog from the command line is to type:
view IB995.INF
To set up a desktop object to access the catalog, drag a program
template to the desktop, the program name should be "view", the
parameters should be "IB995.INF" and the working directory should
be the directory to which you unzipped the catalog.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The following files should be contained within IB895.ZIP:
README.1ST - this file
IB995.INF - the catalog
ALTTOC.DAT - this file determines the startup values of the catalog
SUPEROBJ.DLL - the .DLL that allowed me to make changes to the .INF
format
BACH.MID - These files are sound files for those of you with
VISUAL.WAV - MMPM/2 Support... To be truthful, I was mostly playing
BARK.WAV - when I put these in, but I kinda liked them...
for the catalog to run properly, they must all be in the same
directory.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTES:
---
The quickest way to find a product (if you already know its name) is
by using the index.
---
Searches work a bit strangely in .INFs. Refer to the help page of the
.INF for some pointers on searching.
---
If you really hate the graphical interface, you can just rename the
SUPEROBJ.DLL to something else. You'll get an error when you start,
but it'll still work...
---
If you'd like to change the startup size for the .INF, change the cx=XX%
and cy=YY% statements in the ALTTOC.DAT file...
---
If you don't have MMPM/2 loaded you will get an error each time you
access one of the sound enabled pages. These should be ignored. %^)
---
I hope the 640x480 front page is a little easier to use for you laptop
people... let me know if you like it...
---
If you find something atrociously wrong, please email me at
"scott@indelible-blue.com".
Note: This catalog was created using Hyperwise v2.0 for OS/2, IMPOS/2,
and ColorWorks for OS/2.
Thanks,
Scott Reston
