  3. IBM PSP Worldwide Developer Assistance Program

  6. The IBM Personal Software Products Worldwide Developer
  7. Assistance Program is proud to announce a worldwide file
  8. repository on the Internet.
  9.  
  10. The Internet, with uncounted millions of users, is by far
  11. the world's largest connected network.  To better serve the
  12. development community the IBM Worldwide Developer Assistance
  13. Program is responding to the many requests for support
  14. through the Internet.  Tools, utilities, and information are
  15. now available on the "information superhighway" for all DAP
  16. members around the world.

  18. The DAP Internet site, called "The DAP Information Library,"
  19. includes the following file bases:
  20.  
  21. DAPTOOLS LIBRARY Restricted Software - These tools,
  22. utilities, demos, and sample code are available only to
  23. members of IBM's Worldwide Developer Assistance Programs.
  24. Popular tools include PHOENIX2 (a FAT and HPFS unerase
  25. utility), DEBUGO (A terminal debug program), MRFILEPM (file
  26. manager), and many, many more exclusive tools.

  28. EWS - This is a shadow of the IBM Employee Written Software
  29. file collection.  This library contains many tools and
  30. utilities of general interest and some tools specifically
  31. for developers.  Tools include MSHELL and TSHELL
  32. (installable shells for OS/2), TINYED (an OS/2 text editor),
  33. and many more.

  35. DAPLIB - The DAPLIB will keep developers up-to-date with the
  36. latest announcements and useful information for DAP members.
  37. Until now these programs have been available only to DAP
  38. members with access to CompuServe and to Premier/Commercial
  39. DAP members.

  41. The DAP Information Library is a private repository, but
  42. access is easy to get!  It is open to all Worldwide DAP
  43. members.
  44.  
  45. REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS:
  46.  
  47.  
  48. _ Users must be members of one of IBM's Worldwide Developer
  49.   Assistance Programs.
  50.  
  51. _ Users must use their own Internet service providers with
  52.   true TN3270 and FTP capabilities.
  53.  
  54. _ Users must agree to the terms and conditions of all
  55.   license agreements associated with both the libraries and
  56.   the files themselves.
  57.  
  58. CURRENT WW DAP MEMBERS:
  59.  
  60. Get the file WWDAP.TXT.  This is the WWDAP application form
  61. with a few lines added at the top to be filled out and
  62. returned.  Existing members need to fill out the top portion
  63. only!  Once the file has been e-mailed back to IBM your
  64. member access to the DAP Information Library will be
  65. processed.

  67. NON-DAP MEMBERS:
  68.  
  69. You must join the IBM Worldwide Developer Assistance program
  70. to get access to the DAP Information Library Internet site.
  71. Fill out WWDAP.TXT completely.  Once your DAP ID Number has
  72. been assigned, we will begin the processing of your access
  73. to the DAP Information Library on the Internet.

  75. ENROLLMENT:

  77. The WWDAP.TXT file is located at most popular OS/2 Internet
  78. sites.  You may also ftp to the DAP Information Library
  79. Guest account.  The DAP Information Library is at
  80. DAP.SVO.COM (192.195.29.5).  There are 10 guest accounts
  81. (GUEST1, GUEST2 ...  GUEST10).  Login with a password of
  82. DAP4ME.  These are limited access accounts and will give
  83. access to a few information files including WWDAP.TXT
  84. (Worldwide DAP membership application).
