  1. OS/2 Warp boot logos, from Jon Czerwinski

  4. Coming soon (very soon!) - the PREPLOGO facility to allow you to create your
  5. own boot logos from BMP files.
  6.  
  7. This is a collection of replacement OS/2 Warp boot logos.  Changing your
  8. boot logo is as simple as replacing the OS2LOGO file in the root directory
  9. of your boot drive:

  12. 1) Turn off the attributes of the OS2LOGO file:
  13.  
  14.    attrib -s -h -r OS2LOGO
  15.  
  16. 2) Back up the OS2LOGO file:
  17.  
  18.    copy OS2LOGO OS2LOGO.ORG
  19.  
  20. 3) Copy a new logo file into the OS2LOGO file:
  21.  
  22.    copy OS2ROCK.LGO OS2LOGO
  23.  
  24. 4) [Optional] Turn the attributes back on:
  25.  
  26.    attrib +s +h +r OS2LOGO
  27.  
  28. Reboot!

  30. NOTE:  The boot logo format is NOT an OS/2 BMP format.  Don't copy a normal
  31. BMP file into OS2LOGO, or you will render you machine unbootable!  It is
  32. always a good idea to have a copy of the Warp boot disks created from the
  33. "Create Utility Disks" program in System Settings before modifying your
  34. system.

  36. NOTE2: You can always reset to the default boot logo by copying the backup
  37. file back into OS2LOGO.
