  1. Thanks for obtaining this replacement boot logo for OS/2 WARP.
  2.  
  3. This logo was created using Jonathan Czerwinski's PrepLogo.
  4. PrepLogo V1.0 will read any uncompressed bitmap 
  5. (easily produced by any number of bitmap viewers), in any number of colors up to
  6. 256, in any resolution up to 640x480, and produce a native OS/2 Warp Boot Logo!
  7. An order form for PrepLogo has been included at the bottom of this file so
  8. that you may begin creating your own boot logos for OS/2 WARP.

  11. This particular logo shows that even children know a great OS when they see it.

  17. To change your logo:

  19. 1) Turn off the attributes of the OS2LOGO file:
  20.  
  21.    attrib -s -h -r OS2LOGO
  22.  
  23. 2) Back up the OS2LOGO file:
  24.  
  25.    copy OS2LOGO OS2LOGO.ORG
  26.  
  27. 3) Copy a new logo file into the OS2LOGO file:
  28.  
  29.    copy OS2ROCK.LGO OS2LOGO
  30.  
  31. 4) [Optional] Turn the attributes back on:
  32.  
  33.    attrib +s +h +r OS2LOGO
  34.  
  35. Reboot!

  37. NOTE:  The boot logo format is NOT an OS/2 BMP format.  Don't copy a normal
  38. BMP file into OS2LOGO, or you will render you machine unbootable!  It is
  39. always a good idea to have a copy of the Warp boot disks created from the
  40. "Create Utility Disks" program in System Settings before modifying your
  41. system.
