  1. The Typo/2 fonts are designed to give you some of the typographic characters which have been unavailable to the OS/2-native application until now. These fonts will install in both the OS/2 Font Palette and in Win-OS/2's Adobe Type Manager.

  3. The first step to typographic characters is to change your CONFIG.SYS file. Find the line which reads,
  4.      CODEPAGE=437,850
  5. and change it to read,
  6.      CODEPAGE=850,437
  7. Save the file, setting the Type to OS/2 Command File if prompted for a filetype, and SD&R (shut down and reboot).

  11. OK, OK, to the interesting part. Here are the ASCII codes for each of the remapped characters:
  12. 134: fl ligature
  13. 143: fi ligature
  14. 152: common-law trademark
  15. 155: ellipsis
  16. 157: single dagger
  17. 170: fraction bar
  18. 207: double dagger
  19. 208: double open-quote
  20. 209: double close-quote
  21. 231: single open-quote
  22. 232: single close-quote (apostrophe)
  23. 236: em dash
  24. 237: en dash
