AFM Files for the Type 1 fonts included in ATM for Windows 3.0
(non-MultiMaster)
The AFM files included here were produced using FontMonger 1.08, and
manually renamed and edited (font name, family name, and full name)
where required to have names corresponding to those in the PFB files
that come with ATM 3.0. You are free to use them with your existing
ATM 3.0 PFB files to install these fonts in OS/2. You will need to
place the AFM files in the same directory as the ATM 3.0 PFB files to
be able to install the fonts in OS/2.
The AFM file for ITC Anna (IARG____.AFM) is included here for
completeness, but it appears that this font is one of a small number
that OS/2 versions prior to Warp have trouble with. It produces a
SYS3175 error when installed and selected as the working font in the
OS/2 System Editor. I don't believe the problem is with the font or
the AFM file created by FontMonger since OS/2 has this problem with
other Adobe fonts such as Adobe Wood Ornaments II. There is an APAR
for the problem, but as far as I know no fix has been generated yet.
I have not been able to test Warp to see if this problem is fixed
there. Caveat Emptor.
All fonts were tested for on-screen appearance and for printing using
Describe 5.0. With the exception of ITC Anna, they all appear to work
correctly and give properly rendered text when compared to using the
same fonts in Pagemaker 5.0 running on Win-OS/2.
