FFP Version 1.10
FFP is a File Finder Program for OS/2. It runs in protected mode only.
Syntax:
ffp [-options] afn [afn ...]
Valid options:
a search all disks
f filenames only, don't search arcs
p pause for each full screen
r dirspec recurse from indicated directory
Note that options "a" and "r" are mutually incompatible.
Examples:
Find all files on the D: drive, starting at the directory \USR
searching the contents of all .ARC, .PKA, .ZIP, and .ZOO archive
files:
ffp -r d:\usr *.*
Find all files matching f*.c on all drives on the system but don't
examine archive contents:
ffp -af f*.c
Enhancements with version 1.10:
FFP now understands ZIP files created via PKWare's PKZIP program
and ZOO files created via Rahul Dhesi's ZOO program. It treats them
in a similar manor to the way it handles ARC files created with SEA's
ARC program or the earlier PKWare programs PKARC or PKPAK. There is
one difference worth noting however.
In .ARC files, subdirectories are stored in the archive recursively
in a sub-ARC-file within the ARC file proper. This version of FFP
will not search subdirectory contents within an ARC file, we expect
to add this feature in the next version. In .ZIP and .ZOO files, a
file may be stored with it's full pathname. If FFP detects a
pathname on any given file it will print the path and file name on
two separate lines, the path printed above, indented one space to the
right of the archive file name and the filename normally on the
following line. This pathname refers to the following file and to
that file ONLY, not to all following files as it does in the main
display.
