  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for the MIDI File Format Converter ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4. Use the MIDI File Format Converter to convert MIDI files from type 1 format to 
  5. type 0 format. 
  6.  
  7.    1. Identify the location of the source file you want to convert: 
  8.  
  9.           If your source file is in the current directory, select its name 
  10.            from the Files list. The name of the currently selected file in the 
  11.            Files list is displayed in the Source file name field. 
  12.  
  13.           If your source file is in the parent directory or a subdirectory of 
  14.            the current directory, change to the directory you want by selecting 
  15.            a name from the Directories list. The list in the Files box is 
  16.            updated with the names of the files in the new directory. Select 
  17.            your source file name from the Files list. 
  18.  
  19.           If your source file is located on another drive, you can select the 
  20.            appropriate drive name from the Drive field. The lists in the 
  21.            Directories and Files boxes are updated with information specific to 
  22.            the new drive. 
  23.  
  24.           If your source file is located on another branch in the directory 
  25.            structure, or another drive, and you know its location, you can type 
  26.            its complete path name in the Source file name field.

  28.    2. Select the Convert push button to convert the type 1 file named in the 
  29.       Source file name entry field to a type 0 file, named by the Target file 
  30.       name entry field.

  32.  Select the Cancel push button to end the application. 
  33.  
  34.  Select the Help push button to view this help panel.
