  2.        IBM VisualAge COBOL Enterprise for OS/2 V2.2 Readme

  5. Welcome to IBM VisualAge COBOL Enterprise.
  6.  
  7. Much of the information has changed since previous releases of
  8. VisualAge COBOL. For instance, we now provide an INSTALL.TXT file
  9. on the CD-ROM, which contains virtually all the information you will
  10. need to install the product.
  11.  
  12. The information notebook, which is installed with the information
  13. component, now includes product highlight information - "What's New",
  14. a migration section for migrating from previous VisualAge COBOL
  15. offerings, and a trouble-shooting section for help in identifying
  16. and working around potential problems.  It also includes online
  17. tutorials and other online documentation.

  19. VisualAge COBOL manuals are provided in Adobe Acrobat PDF form in the
  20. \PDF directory on the CDROM.   You can print from the PDF files using
  21. either Adobe Acrobat Reader or Ghostview.  The Adobe Acrobat Reader is
  22. provided in the PDF directory or you can download it from the Adobe web
  23. site.  You can download Ghostview from the web at:

  26. Viewing some information provided with this release requires an HTML
  27. browser.  Netscape Navigator 2.02 dated 27 March 1997 is provided on the
  28. VisualAge COBOL CDROM in the \NETSCAPE directory.  If you don't have a
  29. brower, or if your browser predates this version, install the copy from
  30. the CD.
