  2. This package contains a utility named EDITSLVL ("EDIT SysLeVel") and
  3. a document that describes the syslevel file format.
  4.  
  5. Editslvl can be used to create and edit syslevel files.
  6.  
  7. The following files are included:
  8.  
  9.   EDITSLVL.EXE  - put in path (eg, C:\OS2)
  10.   EDITSLVL.HLP  - put in help path (eg, C:\OS2\HELP)
  11.   OPENDLG.DLL   - put in libpath (eg, C:\OS2\DLL)
  12.  
  13.   SYSLEVEL.SCR  - dwscript source for syslevel document
  14.   SYSLEVEL.PRT  - dwscript output ready to print on laser printer
  15.                   or proprinter
  16.  
  17. Online help is available for all the fields in editslvl.
  18.  
  19. To create a new syslevel file, type editslvl without any parameters.
  20. When the "Open a File" window appears, press the Esc key.
  21. Then press the "New" button on the main window.  You will be prompted for
  22. the path and filename of the syslevel file.  The name must be in the form:
  23. SYSLEVEL.XXX, where XXX is your assigned extension.

  25. For new syslevel files, you must obtain a SYSID from Duane Wood in Boca Raton
  26. (DWOOD at BCRVMPC1).
