  6.  This IBM SearchManager/2 Toolkit is identical to the one included with
  7.  the SM/2 Single Workstation (SWS) product for OS/2:
  8.  Program Number : 5622-018

  10.     This is the Toolkit component together with an online version of
  11.     the API guide. The toolkit is identical to the one included in the
  12.     SM/2 SWS and LAN products and may also be used with the SM/2 DEMO
  13.     version.  It provides API and library services source files
  14.     together with some samples showing how they may be used.
  15.     The API Guide provides all the necessary information on how
  16.     developers can use the toolkit to integrate SearchManager/2
  17.     information retrieval functions into their applications.
  18.     Please see the API Guide for more information.
  19.     The online version of the API Guide may be displayed by using
  20.     the VIEW command against the EHSQ7MST.INF file.

  27. If an Installation Utility object is not available, the SM/2 Toolkit may be
  28. deleted/updated by calling the EHSINSTS EXE in the SM2TKT directory.

  32.    You will need approx. 500K free space on the boot disk for temporary
  33.    files during installation.

  37. IBM SearchManager Product Offerings
  38. ===================================

  40.    The IBM SearchManager product family comprises four products:
  41.  
  42.      - IBM SearchManager/2: With the Single Work Station (SWS) version,
  43.        documents on local drives and on LAN File Server drives can
  44.        be indexed and retrieved. The Demo version of SearchManager/2
  45.        is functionally identical to the Single Work Station version,
  46.        but the index capacity is limited to a maximum of 50 documents.

  48.      - IBM SearchManager LAN Server/2 and Client/2: This version of the
  49.        product, is a real Client/Server solution. The Search Server
  50.        installed on a LAN-server can be used from several
  51.        Search Clients in the LAN enviroment.

  53.      - IBM SearchManager Client/DOS for Windows: With this product it is
  54.        possible to use SearchManager/2 in a LAN/Windows environment.
  55.        A prerequisite for the Windows Search Client is an
  56.        OS/2 LAN-server in the LAN-enviroment with an installed
  57.        SearchManager LAN Server/2.

  59.      - IBM SearchManager Client/DOS Japanese for Windows: With this
  60.        product it is possible to use SearchManager/2 in a LAN/Windows
  61.        environment. A prerequisite for the Windows Search Client is an
  62.        OS/2 LAN-server in the LAN-enviroment with an installed
  63.        SearchManager LAN Server/2 upgraded by the CSD4J; that is
  64.        THE JAPANESE CORRECTIVE SERVICE PACKAGE (SERVICE LEVEL J000014).
