  6. There are problems when using Xit together with this beta. Please add
  7. Sibyl to the exception list of Xit.

  9. This version is a beta version of SpeedSoft Sibyl - a visual pascal
  10. development environment for OS/2.
  11.  
  12. Beta version means that this is a prereleased version of this product. Some
  13. code and/or principles of the environment may change significantly
  14. throughout the beta test or the release version of this product. Also
  15. this beta may have some minor bugs and/or missing features. If you find
  16. any mistakes/bugs or you have any suggestions please contact SpeedSoft
  17. as descripted below.

  19. This package includes beta code. This code may be modified           
  20. substantially and may not now be at SpeedSoft's usual level of    
  21. performance and compatibility.

  23. This beta has a limitation of a maximum of three forms you can generate
  24. with it. This limitation is not due to an internal design limitation
  25. of Sibyl, it was just build in to prevent unauthorized copying and usage
  26. of this product. You are free to use Sibyl for a maximum period of
  27. 60 days after downloading this package. Afterthat or if the Release Version
  28. of Sibyl becomes available (whatever is earlier) you MUST erase all copies
  29. of this field test version and are not allowed to use it anymore.

  31. The software and/or documentation are provided "AS IS" without any warranty
  32. of any kind. You are free to use, copy or contribute this version without
  33. any limitations. You are NOT allowed to decompile, reassemble or modify
  34. any of the files provided herein. If you assign a copy of this software
  35. to third parties or you contribute it on the net, you must include all
  36. files that are part of the product. Especially you are not allowed to
  37. modify or remove any copyright messages. For more information about the
  38. Copyright terms refer to the online help.

  40. Note that this version contains only minimal help information. You can 
  41. download additionally help (SIBYL.HLP) from our web site. After downloading
  42. replace the old SIBYL.HLP with the new file. The new file is about 800KB
  43. in size and contains a full description of the interface parts of the
  44. SPCC library. This file is available in both german and english.
  45. Usually you can download this file at the same place where you downloaded 
  46. this beta. The final product will include a full featured help system 
  47. for both the Sibyl environment and the SPCC (Sibyl Portable Component Classes). 
  48. The Interface of the SPCC units is provided in the \DOC directory.

  50. We strongly recommend to use this version only with OS/2 Warp. Although it
  51. may run with OS/2 2.X we have not tested. Also we recommend at least
  52. 8MB RAM (16MB for best performance) and a graphic card that supports the
  53. 800x600 (or higher) video mode. This version was also tested with FP17 for
  54. Warp and OS/2 Warp 4.
