HHResearch Y2K countdown clock V 0.55 Beta.
This is the first public Beta of HHResearch Y2K countdown
clock. We wrote the clock in response to a request on
comp.software.year-2000 for an OS/2 PM Day and Hour count down
clock. The clock computes the time remaining until 23:59 December
31, 1999 using the machine time as reported by OS/2.
---------------------------------
1122 Days 26933 Hours [8][?] [X]
---------------------------------
[8] opens a Magic 8-Ball toy.
[?] lists reasons for ignoring the Y2K problem
[X] closes down the clock.
We will enhance and improve the clock on an as-time permits basis.
If there is something you'd like to see in the clock, let us know.
-------------------------------------------
The HHResearch Y2K countdown clock is licensed software. It is
distributed without warrantees. Here are the terms.
If you are a private individual, you may use the clock for your
own purposes without sending a contribution. You may freely use
the clock on any number of computers that you own or control.
If you are a corporate, business, or government entity, you
are asked to register by sending $1.00 for each workstation that
you run the clock on. If you have fewer than 15 workstations,
do not send the registration fee to us. Simply contribute the
equivalent amount to the Salvation Army or any local charity.
Drop us a note telling us that you have done this and the number
of workstations that you run the clock on.
If you are the Salvation Army or local charity and wish to use
this product, just tell us that you are running the clock and the
approximate number of workstations that the clock runs on.
Registration fees in U.S. currency, checks drawn in U.S. dollars,
or VISA/MC/AMX payments may be sent to Kiyo Design, Inc., 11
Annapolis St. Annapolis, MD 21401 USA. or via FAX to 1 (410)
280-2793.
The clock software may be freely distributed as long as this
document accompanies it and the clock software is not modified.
BBS services, CD Rom sellers, and other shareware/freeware
distribution channels may distribute the clock software and may
charge a nominal copying or access fee at their option.
You may not charge a fee for the HHResearch Y2K Clock itself.
If you are past the Y2K realization phase and are looking for a
solution, please consider HHResearch's REDWOOD as an addition to
your solution portfolio.
If you are still in the Y2K realization phase, please run the
clock and click on the [?] button. (It's simple enough for your
boss to run.)
The Year 2000 is a big, big problem. REDWOOD will improve your
productivity. The clock will remind you that time is slipping
away.
