  2. The RECIO C library consists of a set of a 
  3. hundred functions that make it easy to read 
  4. and write text files in which each line is 
  5. treated as a data record, and each record 
  6. is subdivided into fields.  Fields may be 
  7. delimited either by a character, such as a 
  8. comma, or by column positions.
