  1. This archive is a binary installation package for the Scientific Python 
  2. extension, v2.2, written by Konrad Hinsen.

  5. for information about Scientific Python.  For more detailed information 
  6. about this extension, and the source distribution, please see the

  10. The binary extension package was built from the Scientific Python source 
  11. using the DistUtils setup.py script included in the distribution, on the 
  12. OS/2+EMX port of Python 2.2.  No changes to the distributed source, 
  13. and the only change to the setup script was to specify the location of 
  14. the NetCDF components.  Although an MPI port to EMX exists, I haven't 
  15. attempted to include MPI support in this build of Scientific Python.

  17. You need the Python 2.2 port installed before you can install this 
  18. package - you should be able to get it where you obtained this archive.  
  19. You will also need Numerical Python (aka NumPy) installed to make full 
  20. use of this package - a binary distibution of Numpy should be available 
  21. where you found this archive.

  23. To install (assuming a working Python installation), change to the 
  24. directory containing the install script (install.cmd), and execute the 
  25. script.

  28. package - bug reports about Scientific Python should go to Konrad.
