  1. This is a binary installation package for the mxBase collection of 
  2. Python extensions by Marc-Andre Lemburg and eGenix.com, release 2.0.3, 
  3. built for the OS/2+EMX port of Python 2.2.

  5. The source archive for, and more information about, this package can be 
  6. obtained from http://www.egenix.com/.
  7.  
  8. You need the Python 2.2 port installed before you can install this 
  9. package - you should be able to get it where you obtained this 
  10. archive.
  11.  
  12. To install (assuming a working Python installation), change to the 
  13. directory containing the install script (install.cmd), and execute the 
  14. script.
  15.  
  16. The file COPYRIGHT.mxBase, LICENSE.mxBase, and README.mxBase are 
  17. (respectively) the COPYRIGHT, LICENSE, and README files from the root 
  18. directory of the source archive.
  19.  
  20. When installed, the Lib/site-packages subdirectory of your Python 2.2 
  21. installation will contain an mx subdirectory.  The Doc subdirectory 
  22. within the mx subdirectory contains HTML documentation for the extensions;
  23. point a browser at the URL
  24.   file:///{PYTHONHOME}/Lib/site-packages/mx/Doc/eGenix-mx-Extensions.html 
  25. to view it (subsititute the value of your PYTHONHOME environment variable 
  26. for {PYTHONHOME} in the URL).

  28. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with the installation 
  29. package.  Bug reports about the mxBase extensions themselves are best 
  30. addressed to eGenix.com, cc'ed to me in case they're specific to this 
  31. package.
