  4. You can accept the default installation, or you can select or deselect one of 
  5. the choices by placing your mouse pointer over a check box or radio button and 
  6. then pressing mouse button 1. 
  7.  
  8. Once you have made your selection, press OK to continue. 
  9.  
  10. Pen for OS/2 
  11.           Select this choice to install the Pen for OS/2 software on your 
  12.           system. 
  13. Pen device driver 
  14.           Select this choice to install support for a pen device driver.  Pen 
  15.           for OS/2 must already be installed on your system. 
  16. ReadMe 
  17.           Select this choice to display the ReadMe file.  This file contains 
  18.           important installation information you should view prior to 
  19.           installing Pen for OS/2 and pen device drivers. 
  20. Update CONFIG.SYS 
  21.           Select Pen for OS/2 automatically updates if you want changes made to 
  22.           your CONFIG.SYS automatically.  Select You will update if you wish to 
  23.           make changes to the CONFIG.SYS yourself. 
  24.  
  25.           To successfully install Pen for OS/2, the CONFIG.SYS file must be 
  26.           updated.  By default, Pen for OS/2 will automatically update this 
  27.           file during the installation. 
  28.  
  29.           If, however, you select CONFIG.SYS - You will update, instead of the 
  30.           system automatically updating your CONFIG.SYS file, it creates an 
  31.           updated version of your CONFIG.SYS file in the root directory called 
  32.           CONFIGCH.XXX.  After Pen for OS/2 is installed, you must replace your 
  33.           existing CONFIG.SYS file with this file, or update your existing 
  34.           CONFIG.SYS file to include the required statements.

  36. To exit the Pen for OS/2 installation program, select Exit.

  41. Use this panel to change where on your system the Pen for OS/2 software is 
  42. installed, or you can accept the defaults by selecting Install.  If you select 
  43. Cancel, you return to the Pen for OS/2 Installation Options panel without 
  44. performing the installation.

  60.           This field contains the default drive that is active when the Pen for 
  61.           OS/2 installation is started.  To change the drive, scroll through 
  62.           the list of valid drive letters, and then select the one you want. 
  63. Directory 
  64.           This field contains the directory Pen for OS/2 is installed from. To 
  65.           change the directory, scroll through the list, and then select the 
  66.           one you want by double-clicking on it. 
  67. Path 
  68.           This field contains the path Pen for OS/2 is installed from.  To 
  69.           change the default path, type a valid path directly into the path 
  70.           window.

  75. Use the Target fields to change the location that the Pen for OS/2 software is 
  76. installed to.

  78. Drive 
  79.           This field contains the drive that you want the Pen for OS/2 software 
  80.           to install to.  To change the drive, scroll through the list of valid 
  81.           drive letters, and then select the one you want. 
  82. Directory 
  83.           This field contains the directory Pen for OS/2 is installed to. To 
  84.           change the directory, scroll through the list of directories, and 
  85.           then select the one you want by double-clicking on it. The Install, 
  86.           Help, and Dll subdirectories are created below the directory you 
  87.           specify. 
  88. Path 
  89.           This field contains the path Pen for OS/2 is installed to, which is 
  90.           \PEN.  To change the default path, type a valid path directly into 
  91.           the path window.

  93. Note:   The target cannot be on the LAN.  The Installation program only 
  94.         installs the Pen for OS/2 software to your hard file.

  99. This field displays the amount of space needed to install the Pen for OS/2 
  100. software.  The target drive is checked to ensure that there is enough space to 
  101. install all the files.  If there is not enough space, a warning message is 
  102. displayed.  You then have the option of continuing or stopping the installation 
  103. now.

  164.           This field contains the drive that you want the Pen Device Driver to

  167.           it. 
  168. Directory

  219.           prior to installing the Pen for OS/2 Toolkit. 
  220. Update CONFIG.SYS 
  221.           If you choose not to select this option, the installation program 
  222.           creates a file CONFIGCH.xxx (where xxx is a number beginning with 
  223.           001) with all the required statements, and places it in the root of 
  224.           the startup drive.  You must then copy the suggested changes in this 
  225.           file to your CONFIG.SYS file for the software to function properly.

  227. To exit the Pen for OS/2 Toolkit installation now, select Exit.
