Figure 127. Rotating the Object in the 2D Graphics Part

The 2D Graphics part has several editing functions in the Selected menu.
You can use the editing functions on one or more objects. A dashed box is
shown around all the objects selected. The following is a list of the
functions in the Selected menu:

░ Show handles lets you reshape existing objects. When it is active,
the patches on the selected object are shown as hollow boxes (rather
than filled gray patches) which can then be moved using direct
manipulation. These handles are the same points specified in the
creation of the object. You can reshape an existing object by
dragging these handlers.

░ Rotate lets you rotate existing objects. When you select it, a dashed
circle is displayed with handles at the center. The center handle can
be dragged to change the center of rotation and dragging on the
perimeter handle actually rotates the selected object, as shown in
Figure 127.

░ Layering lets you control which objects are viewed on top of other
objects when objects overlap.

░ Grouping allows you to group more than one object into one group or
break up a group into its separate objects.

░ Freeze lets all selected objects be frozen or unfrozen (locked or
unlocked). Objects are normally unfrozen. Once objects are frozen,
they cannot be modified without first being selected and then
unfrozen.

░ Embedded Backgrounds allows the backgrounds to be opaque or
transparent.

When you select the pop-up menu using mouse button two for a selected
object, you will get the following selections:

░ Delete

░ Rotate

░ Line

░ Fill

░ Shadow

The Line, Fill and Shadow options have additional menus from which you can
select options such as Color and Style.
