ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> General Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Text Part component is a basic word-processing tool for OpenDoc. Text Part
component uses two types of text format: plain text (ASCII) and Rich Text
Format (RTF). In addition to word-processing, Text Part allows basic editing
such as font changes and clipboard commands (cut, copy, paste, paste as,
delete.)
Text Part can be used to create text that will accompany graphics or explain
multimedia embeds. It also allows you to generate written documents such as
reports or letters. An important feature of the Text Part is that it will
automatically be opened when you may embed a text document that was not created
in OpenDoc into an OpenDoc part such as Page Layout. This feature allows you
to bring an existing text file into OpenDoc and use the Text Part to edit it.
The imported document can then be saved as an OpenDoc Text Part document.
Text Part does not allow you to set or change options such as:
Margins
Page numbering
Headers
Footers
Page rulers
Page orientation
These functions are controlled by the Page Layout part. Also, Text Part does
not automatically flow text from page to page.
