  8. ShiftRun is a utility that enables you to optionally run any OS/2 Full Screen
  9. program while OS/2 is booting.  When ShiftRun is started, it waits for the
  10. number of seconds that you specify and then checks to see if the shift
  11. key is pressed.  If it is pressed, ShiftRun will start an OS/2 Full Screen
  12. program that you specify.  Presentation Manager will not load until you exit
  13. the Full Screen Program.  If the shift key is not pressed, ShiftRun will
  14. exit and Presentation Manager will load.

  16. One of the most useful ways you can use this utility is to install it in your
  17. CONFIG.SYS to start an OS/2 Full Screen Command Prompt.  When you do this,
  18. you will be able to recover from many OS/2 problems without having to boot
  19. from the installation diskettes.
