  7. Fractal Globe generates a sphere using an algorithm that follows the
  8. principles of fractal geometry.  The algorithm begins with a perfect sphere
  9. and alters the distance between various points on the sphere and the center
  10. to give the (imaginary) perception of height.  Then the height is mapped into
  11. various colors, coincidentally enough, to give the sphere a very earth like
  12. appearance.  Once the globe is completely mapped out it is drawn on the
  13. screen for all to see.
