  1.  PCS IPF Editor Demonstration Version Installation & General Information

  3. Thank you for your interest in the IPF Editor.
  4.  
  5. If you downloaded this version in the ZIPPED file format then unzip the 
  6. IPFEDEMO.ZIP into an empty directory and run the installation program.
  7. The name of this .ZIP file may be different if downloaded from CompuServe. 
  8. Please replace IPFEDEMO.ZIP with the name of the .ZIP file you downloaded.
  9. If you received this as part of the IBM OS/2 Developer Connection CD-ROM
  10. then run the install located in the current directory as described below.

  12. To prepare to install the Perez Computing Systems IPF Editor change to the 
  13. directory containing the IPF Editor files (either in the subdirectory where 
  14. you unzipped the IPFEDEMO.ZIP file or the directory on the IBM OS/2 Developer
  15. Connection CD-ROM containing the IPF Editor files.

  17. If you wish to create a demonstration floppy disk use the MAKEIPFE.CMD batch 
  18. file.  Unzip the IPFEDEMO.ZIP to a empty subdirectory and then run 
  19. "MAKEIPFE A" to create a disk in drive A.  Then you may use the INSTALL.EXE 
  20. program on the floppy disk to install the IPF Editor 1.02 demonstration.

  22. To install the IPF Editor demonstration open an OS/2 Window or use the 
  23. "Drives" icon and run the INSTALL.EXE program in the directory where you 
  24. unzipped the IPFEDEMO.ZIP.

  26. Please use the OS/2 2.x/3.x VIEW program to view README.INF for information on
  27. late changes to documentation or the program.  The README.INF file also
  28. contains several commonly asked questions and their answers.

  30. The on-line documentation provided with this demonstration is complete
  31. and exactly matches the commercial version's on-line documentation and
  32. printed documentation.  PLEASE VIEW THE ON-LINE DOCUMENTATION for details
  33. on using the IPF Editor.  It has a complete tutorial that may be used
  34. to learn about all of the IPF Editor's features!

  36. To remove the IPF Editor from your system delete the IPF Editor folder
  37. from your desktop and delete the IPFEDIT directory and subdirectories.
  38. You CONFIG.SYS has the following environment variables set in it:
  39. PATH, LIBPATH, BOOK, and HELP.  Removing these will complete the removal of
  40. the IPF Editor.

  42. The IPF Editor requires OS/2 2.x to run.  The IPF Editor is also compatible 
  43. with OS/2 Warp Version 3.0.

  51. Remember, this is a trial-usage version.  You may use it for 30 tries 
  52. before it's demonstration period expires.  In addition some features
  53. have been disabled.
