IPF BUILDER Version 1.2 - DEMO VERSION
_____________________________________________________________
The program enclosed in this ZIP file is a demo version of
Custom Design Software's IPF Builder program (version 1.20).
It has most of the functionality of the full version with the
following exceptions:
* There is no way to save any IPF file that you've edited in
IPF Builder - Demo Version. This means that although you can
play around with the many features available in the full
commercial version, you cannot use the Demo Version to create
INF or HLP files. This is accomplished by:
- Preventing you from saving the IPF file you are editing
- Preventing you from Cutting text from the file you are
editing
- Preventing you from Copying text strings longer than
100 characters
* The Demo Version does not come with an Installation routine
that will install IPF Builder, create a folder on your Desktop
and related objects within that folder like the full version.
In all other respects this Demo Version is exactly the same as
the fully working commercial version. This means that you can totally
explore all facets of IPF Builder's capabilities and functions.
We hope that after seeing this demo version you'll be interested in
purchasing the full version. If you have any additional questions
about IPF Builder that are not clarified by using the Online Help and
working with the demo, please feel free to call Custom Design Software
between the hours of 9am and 4pm PST.
IPF Builder has been certified as "Ready for OS/2" by IBM.
INSTALLING THIS VERSION
_______________________________________________________________
* Create a subdirectory called \IPFDEMO on your hard drive
(if you have installed an earlier demo version, copy the files
from this ZIP file to \IPFDEMO to overwrite the old files.)
* Copy all the files you find in this ZIP file to this directory
* View the file IPFBLDER.INF to get instructions on using the program.
* Make sure that your IPFC compiler is accessible. It should be if
your CONFIG.SYS file is correctly setup to accomodate the compiler.
* Copy one of your own IPF files to this directory. You'll be able
to try out the compile features on this file.**
* At an OS/2 prompt type: IPFB12D to run the program.
* Start your practise run by creating a new IPF file. Use the features
included in the demo, like creating new headings, creating links to
the headings. Try out the various tags and see how they work.
** NOTE: You may not be able to create links with your old IPF file.
IPF Builder follows a certain protocol when it comes to
how headings are to be written. If you've created headings
that don't follow this protocol, linking will not be
available.
