  1. This directory contains a number of files.  Here is a short description of
  2. what each file contains so that you do not need to search as much.  There is
  3. also a recommended order for reading them.
  4.  
  5.     readme.1st    - index of files found in the readme directory.
  6.     intro           - short note describing what 'dmake' is and where to
  7.               get it from.
  8.     release        - changes from previous release, and release specific
  9.               notes.
  10.     install        - installation instructions.
  11.     ../man        - directory containg DMAKE manual page.
  12.  
  13.     patchX        - release notes for patchX to the current release.
  14.  
  15. The next group of files provides additional information for specific
  16. platforms.

  18.     apple.mac    - information for macintosh users
  19.     atari.tos    - information for ATARI TOS users
  20.     msdos        - information for MSDOS users
  21.     os2        - information for OS/2 users
  22.     unix        - information for UNIX users
  23.     qnx        - information for QNX users
  24.     srcorg          - information on the source code organization
  25.  
  26. You should read the information in the first group of files.  The second
  27. group of files contains platform specific configuration, and information
  28. on building dmake on the related target system.  You need to read the
  29. relevant file only if you are building the dmake executable from the source
  30. distribution using 'dmake' itself, or if you want to create a new version
  31. of dmake.
