  47. Help is always available. There are 3 ways to get help: 
  48.  
  49.  1. Press F1 at any time for help about a specific action bar pull-down or 
  50.     option (if one was currently selected). 
  51.  
  52.  2. Select a Help topic from the Help pull-down. 
  53.  
  54.  3. Click on the Help button in a dialog or message box. 
  55.  
  56. You can also press F2 at any time to get general information about the 
  57. currently active window. 
  58.  
  59. For the most recent information about the program, read the READ.ME file 
  60. displayed in the main Install window.

  62. To begin the installation program, select Install from the Option pull-down 
  63. menu.

  93. Use this choice to display product information for the installation program.

  98. The installation program is an interactive program that you use to install the 
  99. IBM WorkFrame/2(TM) product. 
  100.  
  101. To start the program, select Install from the Option pull-down menu.  The IBM 
  102. WorkFrame/2 Options dialog lets you specify what to install and the target 
  103. directory. 
  104.  
  105. The installation program creates all necessary directories and subdirectories, 
  106. and copies the files to the appropriate location on your hard drive. You can 
  107. also have the program update your CONFIG.SYS file. 
  108.  
  109. The program also creates a command file, WFENV.CMD, that you use to invoke the 
  110. WorkFrame/2 product, and a WorkFrame/2 folder on the Desktop. 
  111.  
  112. For the most recent information about this program, read the READ.ME file 
  113. displayed in the main Install window. 
  114.

  118. Accelerator keys are provided in each panel of the installation program.  The 
  119. accelerator keys are underlined. To use an accelerator key, press the 
  120. underlined key.

  144. Use this dialog box to select and install the installation options.  If you are 
  145. installing for the first time, the default options are shown.  If you are 
  146. reinstalling, the options you chose the last time you installed are shown. 
  147.  
  148. You can choose the drive and directory where the IBM WorkFrame/2(TM) files are 
  149. to be copied to, and whether to update your CONFIG.SYS file. The defaults 
  150. specify the files are to be installed in the IBMWF directory on your bootup 
  151. drive, and do not update your CONFIG.SYS file. 
  152.  
  153. Help is available for each field by making the field active and pressing F1. 
  154. Help is also available by the same method for each pushbutton at the bottom of 
  155. the dialog box. 
  156.  
  157. When you have specified the options you want, click on the OK pushbutton to 
  158. install the files.

  162.  
  163. Use this field to specify the drive and directory where the IBM WorkFrame/2(TM) 
  164. files are to be installed.  Leading and trailing backslashes (\) and blanks 
  165. will be ignored. 
  166.  
  167. You cannot use drive A or B as the target drive. 
  168.  
  169. The default path is the directory IBMWF on your bootup drive. 
  170.  
  171.  
  172. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 13. Update CONFIG.SYS - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  173.  
  174. You can have the installation program update your CONFIG.SYS file to include 
  175. the correct variables for the IBM WorkFrame/2 product(TM) (such as the PATH and 
  176. LIBPATH). 
  177.  
  178. If you do not choose this option, you must add C:\IBMWF\DLL to the LIBPATH 
  179. variable in CONFIG.SYS (substitute your target installation directory for 
  180. C:\IBMWF). 
  181.  
  182. The other statements required to set up the WorkFrame/2 environment will be 
  183. placed in the WFENV.CMD file.

  188. When you have chosen the drive, directory, and whether to update CONFIG.SYS, 
  189. use this pushbutton to validate the options and start the installation.

  194. Use this pushbutton to reset the options to the settings they had when the 
  195. window appeared.

  197. If you are installing for the first time, the settings are reset to the 
  198. defaults.  If you are reinstalling, the settings are reset to the options you 
  199. chose the last time you installed.

  204. Use this pushbutton to reset the options to the IBM(TM)-supplied installation 
  205. defaults.

  210. Use this pushbutton to remove the dialog box and return to the previous panel.

  216. This window tells you what is happening during the installation and what stage 
  217. the program is at.

  219. It indicates the files installed, the directory they are copied from on the 
  220. installation diskette, and the directory they are copied to on your hard drive. 
  221. The bar indicates the percentage of bytes installed, compared to the total 
  222. number of bytes to be installed.

  227. Use this pushbutton to close the status window.

  229. The program is not affected and the installation continues.

  234. The installation program tried to create a backup file for your command or 
  235. environment file using the file name and the extension .BAK, but the file 
  236. already exists.

  238. You can type a different name for the backup file, or use the same name and 
  239. overwrite the existing backup file. Then click on OK to create the backup file. 
  240.  
  241. If you do not want to create a backup file, click on Cancel to close this 
  242. window and continue with the installation.

  490. sure the IBM WorkFrame/2(TM) product is not in use.  Then try the operation 
  491. again.

  494. your IBM Service Representative for help.
