The requested help panel was not found.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. About ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This choice produces a screen that offers the title and version number of the
program, plus any available icon that will represent the program when it is
minimized, plus copyright information. The screen will have a pushbutton at
the bottom to enable the user to remove it.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Cancel ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Cancel pushbutton removes a window without applying any changes made in
that window.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Change ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This choice will present the selected object, in its current state, and allow
the user to change certain of the parameters or other fields associated with
the object.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Create ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This choice will allow the user to create a new instance of the object type
selected.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Delete ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Delete removes a selected object. The space it occupied is usually filled by
the remaining object or objects in the window.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. Display ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This choice presents the selected object for viewing only, with no changes
allowed.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 8. Extended help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Extended Help choice offers more detailed assistance on the objects and
actions in the current context.

This menu bar choice provides access to other choices that enable a user to
work with objects or with data storage devices, such as disks or diskettes.

This choice gives a user access to helpful information about objects, choices,
tasks, and products.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 11. Help Index ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This choice on the Help menu presents an alphabetic listing of help topics for
an object.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 12. Help for help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Help for help provides detailed information on the kinds of help available and
how to use them.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 13. Keys Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This choice presents a listing of all the key assignments for an object or a
product.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 14. More ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The word More indicates that there is additional information not currently
viewable on the screen. The screen must be scrolled in order to bring this
information into view.

This choice creates another object from an existing object. The new object
will appear in the existing window.

The OK pushbutton accepts the information in a window and closes it. If the
window contains changed information, those changes are applied before the
window is closed.

The Open choice opens a new window on an object or gives a user access to other
choices that open a new window on an object.

Save stores an object onto a storage device, such as a disk or diskette.

Saves the current operation and places the user at the beginning point to
perform the operation again.

Save as is a choice that creates a new object from an existing object and
leaves the existing object as it was.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 22. Scroll ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Moves the viewable information in a window such that information currently not
in view comes into view.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 23. Stop ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Stop the current processing.

This choice gives a user access to online educational information.

This choice gives a user the ability to hide or display the information line
control. The information line control displays additional information about
the field that has the cursor emphasis.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 27. Direct Manipulation ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The direct manipulation operation was a copy request. The results of a copy to
an entry field will be as follows:
o Any selected text in the control will be deleted.
o The text being dropped will be inserted into the control at the cursor
position.
o The cursor will be placed following the dropped text.
o The source of the dropped text will not be changed.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 28. Direct Manipulation ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The direct manipulation operation was a move request. The results of a move to
an entry field will be as follows:
o Any selected text in the control will be deleted.
o The text being dropped will be inserted into the control at the cursor
position.
o The cursor will be placed following the dropped text.
o The dropped text will be deleted from the source.

key when the drop is made augments the operation as follows:
o No key - defaults to a copy operation.
o Ctrl key - copy operation.
o Shift key - move operation for OS/2 2.0, invalid for OS/2 1.X.
o Alt key - move operation for OS/2 1.X, invalid for OS/2 2.0.
o Two or more keys - invalid operation.

This choice will resume the process that has been interrupted.

Remove the diskette currently in the source drive, if any, and replace it with
the proper diskette. When the proper diskette is in the source drive, select
OK.

applied. To override any of these choices, select Cancel now.

Select Yes to transfer the Installation program and all licensed program files,
in packed format, to a network server directory. After transferring the files,
a user can execute the Installation program from the server directory either
locally or from the local area network (LAN); therefore, the LAN can be used,
rather than the installation diskettes, to install the licensed programs.
Select No to perform a normal installation on this system unit.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 49. Server Target Window - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the field in this window to specify the drive and path of a subdirectory,
on a network server, in which to install the licensed program files.

Specify the drive and path of a subdirectory, on a network server, in which to
install the licensed program files. If you have more than one licensed program,
the path must be unique for each program.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 50. Install Files Exist - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Installation files for different licensed programs must be placed in seperate
subdirectories. You can take the following actions:
o If you select OK, the licensed program already in this subdirectory will be
overwritten.
o You can clean up extraneous files in this subdirectory by going to an OS/2
session and deleting them.
o If you select Cancel, you will return to the prior window where you can
specify a different subdirectory and continue this installation.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 51. Install Completion - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Installation program completed successfully. On workstations throughout
your network, you can now use this program to install the licensed program on
remote nodes rather than using the diskettes.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 52. Abnormal Stop - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
If the Installation program is exited at this time, critical files may not have
been installed or important configurations may not have been performed. To
ensure a working product, continue the installation or restart the Installation
program, and follow it through to completion.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 53. Abnormal Exit - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Installation program exited before the normal completion. Critical files
may not have been installed or important configurations may not have been
performed. To ensure a working product, restart the Installation program, and
follow it through to completion.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 54. Insufficent DASD - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The target might not have enough free storage to install the licensed programs
successfully. If a previous installation of the licensed programs exists on
the target, some of the files will be updated; however, not all files will be
updated. The system might not require the full amount of free storage to
install successfully. You can do the following:
o Attempt to continue this installation. If you run out of storage, you must
free up storage, then, start the installation again.
o Free up storage, then, start the installation again.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 55. Invalid Target - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The target chosen cannot be used.
Possible reasons include:
o Access denied
o Drive locked by another process.
o Unknown media type.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 56. Error Making Directory - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The directory could not be created.
Possible reasons include:
o Access denied
o Drive locked by another process.
o Unknown media type.
o Path not found.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 57. Error Opening File - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The file could not be opened.
Possible reasons include:
o Access denied
o Cannot make directory entry.
o Not enough space on the disk.
o Drive locked by another process.
o File not found.
o Invalid access code.
o Invalid parameter.
o Unknown media type.
o Open/create failed due to explicit fail command.
o Path not found.
o Sharing buffer overflow.
o Sharing violation.
o Too many open files (no handles left).
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 58. File Not Found - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The file does not exist.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 59. Error Copying File - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The file could not be copied.
Possible reasons include:
o Access denied
o Cannot make directory entry.
o Not enough space on the disk.
o Drive locked by another process.
o Unknown media type.
o Path not found.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 60. Error Unpacking File - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The file could not be unpacked.
Possible reasons include:
o Warning error (such as failed CRC check).
o Error in ZIP file.
o Insufficient memory.
o File not found. No ZIP files found.
o Bad or illegal parameters specified.
o No files found to extract/view etc.
o Disk full.
o Unexpected EOF in ZIP file.
